Opened in 1968 in Fort Lauderdale (when Mexican food made Americans breathe fire!), Taco Viva was a fast food chain that served up delicious yet palatable versions of Mexican favorites. The “Really Big Wet Beef Burrito” topped with mole sauce and melted cheese (and slathered in El Scorcho sauce by the brave few) made fans proclaim, “When you say, taco, say Viva!”
