Opened in 1967 in Rockford, Illinois, Sir Beef rode the popular sliced beef sandwich craze. From the Sir Beef and Beef-a-Roo (sliced tableside, of course), to the pickled beets, mouthwatering Sir Ham, grasshopper pie, and the "Help Ye self" relish bar, Sir Beef will be missed.
