RATHSKELLER T-SHIRT

RATHSKELLER T-SHIRT
For 23 years, the Rathskeller in skeezy Kenmore Square — The Rat, for those in the know — had the most violent, bloody, urine-soaked mosh pit, and it’s sticky little stage played host to the likes of The Dead Kennedys, Sonic Youth, Violent Femmes, John Doe and Xzene Cervenka. The Rat wasn’t pretty (it was pretty disgusting, actually) but its raw, unbridled sonic energy rescued an entire generation from pop slavery into a puke-filled, elbow-bruised punk wonderland.
