Harmony House was a record store chain that opened in 1947 in Hazel Park, a suburb of Detroit. At its peak, the chain operated 38 stores in the Metro Detroit area. Many a youth of that time remembers biking to the store, poring over the pegboard wall of 45rpm singles, and emptying their pockets for the latest hits by Queen, Kiss or Led Zeppelin.
