Founded in 1969, Victoria Station was a popular chain of steakhouse restaurants loosely based on London’s Victoria Station. The exteriors were made of red railway cars, and on the “entry platforms” were London-style phone booths. Their specialty was prime rib but you could also get steak, ribs, roast chicken or Shrimp Victoria, which was like scampi but without copious amounts of garlic. At the peak of its popularity in the 70s, the chain had 100 locations throughout the United States.
