Opened in 1949, Empire Drive-In was a classic 830-car drive-in movie theatre located in Webster, New York. It had a playground right in front of the giant screen and the Empire name emblazoned in neon on the back, and when they were closed for the season, the marquee would read, “Closed for the season. Reason? Freezin’! See you in March.”
