Opened in 1959, Fort Dells was a rootin-tootin’ tourist destination in Wisconsin Dells, with a mighty-fine stagecoach, working steam railroad (featuring Engine No. 9), paddlewheel steamboat, suspension bridge, escape tunnel, boot-scootin’ live shows like Black Bart’s Hold-Up!, and heaps of visitor interaction around every turn, with costumed characters lallygagging through the park, making for great photo ops with the guests.
