The “Milwaukee Road” was a railroad that started in 1847 in the Midwest and Northwest of the United States whose goal was to link the developing City of Milwaukee with the Mississippi River. The Milwaukee Road prided itself on its passenger operations, providing the nation with some of its most innovative and colorful trains including its colorful Hiawatha, one of the nation's finest streamliners.
