Founded in 1988, Koo Koo Roo was a fast casual restaurant chain in Los Angeles named after the “koo-koo-roo!” crow of a rooster. Known for their flame-broiled chicken, Koo Koo Roo was an alternative to the burgers & fries offered by most fast food joints. But it couldn’t make the mother cluckin’ cut.
