Paramount Music Palace was an opulent, schmaltzy pizza parlor, filled with kids, and tinged with gold. The pizza was decent, but people weren’t there for the cuisine. The one true star of the show was the massive 1931 Mighty Wurlitzer pipe organ with live organist that would appear each evening by rising from the floor, rotating with regal splendor. Its music set list was dictated by the tip bowl, and its pipes were capable of briefly relocating your silverware.
