Hosting frequent in-store concerts, Recycled Sounds was a focal point for the Kansas City music scene in the 1990s and early 2000s. Owner Anne Winter was the heart and soul of this much-loved establishment, loyally showing up to local gigs and encouraging artists to make recordings to sell in her store.
