Opened in 1965 in St. Louis, The Fatted Calf served up flame-grilled Calfburgers, Cheddarburgers and Bleuburgers for generations. All of the standard toppings were provided, but most folks just ordered their 1/3 pound beast slathered in a heaping scoopful of The Fatted Calf’s legendary, luscious, soft cheddar pub cheese, melting onto the hot, meaty burger.
