Opened in the 1920s, Chumley’s Speakeasy was a a reservations-only cocktail bar in NYC once frequented by the likes of F. Scott Fitzgerald and John Steinbeck. And as such, Chumley’s Speakeasy adopted a distinct literary vibe — deep, tufted circular leather booths, gilded framed black-and-white images of authors and books adorning its walls, and of course serving classic, swanky cocktails.
