In 1977 Studio 54 opened its doors and all of New York City waited behind its infamous velvet rope, hoping to experience the decadence, drugs and bacchanalia inside. Studio 54 was the world’s most famous (and infamous) disco, with A-list celebrities, rampant drug use, and sex (lots of sex!) in the balcony and basement VIP rooms. Oh, and did we mention the dead body in the air duct? Yeah, that happened…
