Built in 1946, Tail O’ the Pup was an iconic hot dog stand in Los Angeles (where else?) shaped like a giant hot dog (what else?) in a giant hot dog bun with mustard (of course). Over the years, this beloved local landmark served the public over five million hot dogs — everything from the Mexican Olé, (with chili, cheese & onions) to the Boston Celtic (with baked beans). It was even featured in the movies Body Double and LA Story.
