Opened in 1959, M’Goo’s Restaurant, decorated in turn-of-the-century decor, believed that pizza was best enjoyed when the music was so loud it made the pepperoni curl. M’Goo’s was a real party — mediocre pizza paired with a music system cranked up way beyond Spinal Tap’s infamous 11, and employees wearing straw hats occasionally leaping up onto the tables and leading everyone in communal singalongs.
