Martin Theatres was owned by Carmike Cinemas, which in its heyday was the fourth largest movie theater chain in the United States. The original Martin Theatre featured “Ultra-vision” with a 42-foot-wide curved screen and projectors directed toward it at slight angles, and “Air-Flo Rocking Chair Reclining Seats”…pretty swanky indeed.
