Opened in 1967, Golfsmith was an American golf specialty retailer based in Austin, and proclaimed to be “the ultimate destination for those that will do anything for golf.” By 2014, the company grew to over 100 retail stores in over 20 states. Each store housed a wide selection of golf clubs, shoes, apparel, gadgets and gear, and also offered custom club fitting, lessons and services for golfers.
