Opened in 1993, Bleecker Street Records was a cozy, no-nonsense vintage record store specializing in rock, R&B, and jazz on new, re-issued, and used vinyl. It was also home to the unofficial icons of the West Village, Scuzzball and Creeper, store cats who could be seen chilling in a box by the staircase or nuzzling your legs as you sifted through the bins looking for treasure.
