Thomas Keller’s TAK Room at Hudson Yards in NYC provided plenty of swanky, retro pleasure at a not insignificant price, serving the most refined, meticulous mid-century country club food you’ve ever seen. Most of it was very good, and a few things were so inexplicably delicious that you had the sensation of slipping the knots of gravity and floating an inch or so above your seat.
