Founded by the “UCB4” (Amy Poehler, Matt Besser, Matt Walsh and Ian Roberts), Upright Citizens Brigade NYC was a scrappy, alternative comedy troupe and school that revolutionized improv with its embrace of “Yes, and…” and its longform improv format. It incubated the talents of stars such as Kate McKinnon, Aziz Ansari, Donald Glover, Aubrey Plaza and many others in the comedy world.
