The Top Hat Cafe in Columbus was a local favorite for over half a century, long before hot chicken was nationally famous. Dubbed the “Holy Grail of Fried Chicken”, their super spicy fried chicken served between two slices of white bread was greasy deliciousness. Located in a questionable part of town, the Top Hat was the place to go after a night of carousing.
