Opened in 1994 in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago, Double Door was an iconic live music venue housed in a former liquor store. This was a place where the smell of stale cigarettes and sweat mingled in the dimly-lit bar. With its sticky dance floor, rickety bar stools, absurd sound system and lighting, and the now-iconic Ham Band Wall (Google it!), this place was a glorious, sweaty, rocking hangover.
