Opened in 1980, Poplar Creek was a popular outdoor concert venue located in Hoffman Estates, a suburb of Chicago. The property could accommodate 20,000 people, and it played host to hundreds of national touring acts such as Peter Frampton, Johnny Cash, The Beach Boys and Jimmy Buffet and Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers.
