Swiss chef Joe Bernardi and his wife, Helma, opened Pepino’s in 1984. Bernardi, a WWII veteran, was a cook for the troops during his time in the Army, and had also been the executive chef at the Ford Motor Company. This family-owned restaurant served steak, pasta, veal, seafood, and salad, and was known for its rainbow trout and chargrilled lamb chops. Leckeres Essen!
