97 Rock was a powerhouse rock radio station in Houston in the 80s, and its logo could be seen on the bumpers of beater cars driven by wastoids and headbangers across the city. Not only did “97 Rock the 80s”, but it also had the highest-rated morning show around: Moby and Matthews. Many a Houstonian awoke daily to them bellowing, “Get your lazy asses out of bed!”
