Throughout the 70s, 80s, and early 90s, Houston radio station KIKK was a country music station that promoted itself with bumper stickers boldly proclaiming, “I'm a KiKKer” or “I'm proud to be a KiKKer.” Proudly displayed on tailgates of pickups all over Houston, the term became synonymous with the cowboy lifestyle. In Houston, you weren’t a cowboy…you were a KIKKer.
