Designed by French artist Philippe Starck in 1984, the Starck Club was a glimmering temple of excess. With its black terrazzo finish and floor-to-ceiling curtains, the club played host to an exquisitely outrageous masquerade, where the gay and straight, black and white, rich and non-rich of Dallas lined up for a chance to see, be seen and rub elbows with everyone from celebrities to royalty at indulgent, all-night, ecstasy-fueled parties.
