The Sidewinder was a dual-stage all-ages venue in the heart of Austin’s Red River Cultural District. The smaller indoor stage hosted local bands nightly, while the outdoor stage hosted larger touring acts. Outside was an atmospheric setting above a babbling creek with several great trees surrounding the stage, making it feel as though you were watching the band on your back porch as the sun set. Bonus: the graffiti in the bathroom was entertaining, and kept Austin weird.
